The Labor Statistics Office (LSO) works under guidelines of the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics. The LSO collect and produce data and analyses for the Current Employment Statistics (CES), Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS), Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW), the Occupational Employment Statistics (OES), and Multiple Layoff Statistics (MLS) programs as specified by contract with the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The data produced include current and historical employment, unemployment and labor force statistics.
